Beige Records NYC is a bite-sized independent record label based in New York City. Founded by Zach McMillan and Tommy Karl, the name is an homage to Beige, the infamous Tuesday-night party at B Bar in Manhattan, which truly was an intersection of fashion, art, culture, and music in New York. Though both the party and the location are RIP, our mission is to carry the fire from a not-so-distant past where creativity and art came from people of all stripes getting out of their apartments and connecting. We embrace the weird, the freaky, the intelligent, the individual, and most importantly: musicians at the top of their craft. Beige Records NYC is a locus for artists to collaborate and share with one another, and confidently take the risks inherent in growing, developing, and pursuing their visions. Our artists know history, but take us into the future. We embrace the evolutionary nature of music, gender, art, and everything else except the iPhone. We promote the listening experience, and listening to music live. We are working on music with people. And working on people with music.
